I am 4′9″. I need an SUV with high ground clearance to navigate the narrow, winding, rocky, gravel trail to a mountain top field on my farm. Can I drive a Toyota 4 Runner? Not many SUVs have 9 inch ground clearance; the 4 Runner does. Since, I have property in the mountains, where the roads also get slick due to the rain and snow; a vehicle without 4WD and high ground clearance would be virtually useless in the mountains.

The right rear side of my 4-runner has risen higher then other sides. Is this a shock that is bad? What has happened and how much should I expect to pay for it?
And.. Can I drive on it till I fix it?

I have an older Toyota 4-runner, had the O2 sensor and catalytic converter replaced last year. 2 weeks ago I had the oil and transmission fluid changed, since then the check engine light went on, the mechanic told me there are 4 codes including for the 02 sensor which I don’t get cuz i had it replaced alredy but he said there are 4 or 5 of them so it could be another one that’s out. He also said it could be one of the 4 (or 5?) spark plugs that has gone out, someone online said it could be the catalytic converter based on the symptons – the problem I experience is that when I start the car up until i hit around 40 mph it shakes a lot and has low energy, I’m scared it might stop on the road. When I go much faster I don’t feel the shaking any more. Can someone tell me what they think could be th problem please?? Is it worth paying a lot to take it to a Toyota dealer to have it checked out??

also i haven’t had a tune up that i can remember but i do get the oil changed every 2 or 3 months. Last Nov the mechanic shop put the filter in wrong, the oil drained out and i drove it dry for a couple weeks.
both times the problem happened at Jiffy Lube. and it’s 6cylinder

I have called Dealers all over the country from home in N Texas to Md,NC, SD,MO,IL,MN,CO and Nobody can get a Silver Trail model without KDSS and NAVIGATION and/or ETCHED Windows. They say I can’t dealer order Toyota’s like American cars and trucks. They come from a pool of whatever Toyota builds and ships to us and they only get allocated 4 month. Question is: If there is none, why do they offer it in brochures ? Is it true I have to wait till summer for this basic $36K model ? Just wanting an honest answer not looking for any other model or not in writing lowball.
