Toyota 4 Runner

The place I get my oil changed doesn’t have the machine that gives the code what the light is on for, and I’m scared if I go anywhere else they might make something up and charge me a lot – I’ve been taken too many times in the past so I’m scared of getting ripped off by car mechanics. The light’s been on for almost a year now. Can it be serious if the car hasn’t broken down yet?

I like both of them but the customer reviews that i have read on the Tacoma make me think twice. Basically a lot of ppl werent happy with the truck. Everyone is happy with the 4runner and I dont really need a truck, I just like the way it looks and the performance. What should i do?

I would like to know how often you are suspose to change the transmission fluid, and also are you suspose to change the filter at the time that you change the fluid?
I will ask this question again tomorrow some time. I have gotten some good answers already. The problem is, the truck belongs to my daughter and she just left. So I don’t know what year it is, and also she bought it used last year and has had to do a lot of maintence on it already as the person that owned it before did not take very good care of it when they had it. It is an automatic. I did know that standards don’t have a filter and such.

I would like to know what the difference between the mileage of a 2wd and a 4wd. Does this vehicle need a lot of repairs, how many miles can I expect to get from a 4 Runner. I used to drive Chev Astro vans, will there be a lot of room for storage and how many people can sit in it. Does anyone know a website that goes into detail about used vehicles so that it is easier to buy a used car.
